MERRA2 Monthly Mean Single-Level Diagnostics

Abstract:

The Modern-Era Retrospective Analysis for Research and Applications, Version 2 (MERRA-2), is a global atmospheric reanalysis produced by NASA's Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO) using the Goddard Earth Observing System (GEOS) model and data assimilation system. The M2TMNXSLV collection provides monthly mean single-level meteorological diagnostics for the satellite era. This convenience-copy dataset contains M2TMNXSLV data for 1980-present that have been reorganized into variable-specific NetCDF files to facilitate access, analysis, and distribution while preserving the original spatial and temporal characteristics of the source dataset.
