Goals:
Determine the average and individual gas-particle accommodation coefficients of reaction products formed from toluene photooxidation and contributing to SOA formation.
Summary:
Toluene, Methyl nitrite, NO, and particle seed added to chamber, UV lights turned on for 10-20 sec, multifunctional products formed and some condensed to aerosol. The 10-20s UV light/photochemistry bursts were repeated 7 times. SMPS measurements of particle size distributions were conducted to determine particle formation, surface area and condensational sink rate coefficients. In this experiment reported, Aerosol-phase chemical species were measured with HR-AMS.
