Title: ICARUS Chamber Experiment: Hildebrandt Ruiz Lab_20180329_DECANE/nitric oxide_Chlorine radical_Ammonium sulfate_dry Description: Goals: Find SOA yield for decane + Cl under high NOx condition (NO injected). Investigate volatility behavior based on 2D thermograms. Summary: Ammonium sulfate seed (0.01M, 150 mL) was injected using an aerosol generation system. Cl2 gas and NO gas were injected from their cylinders. 81 ug/m3 of decane was injected into a glass bulb and heated clean air was made to flow over it, carrying the volatilized decane into the chamber. After ~30 mins (sufficient mixing time), lights were turned on for 1 hour. 68.3 ug/m3 of SOA were formed, giving a yield of 0.84. This is Exp#5 in the associated publication.
