Title: ICARUS Chamber Experiment: Caltech Atmospheric Chamber_20130906_trans-beta IEPOX_None_Sodium sulfate_DarkReactiveUptake_RH81 Description: Goals: This experiment was performed to assess the reactive uptake behavior of trans beta-IEPOX that was synthesized for the experiment. Different particle inorganic compositions (mainly ammonium sulfate or AS) and different particle water content were investigated. Particles are injected into the chamber as deliquesced droplets (through a wet wall denuder) and they stabilize to their equilibrium particle liquid water content depending on their hygroscopicity. Summary: No organic aerosol (OA) growth was observed on Na2SO4 Organization: Caltech Atmospheric Chamber Lab Affiliation: California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA Chamber: Near/Far Bag 2012-2015 (Tran) Experiment Category: Condensed-phase chemical reaction, Multiphase chemical reaction Oxidant: None Reactants: trans-beta IEPOX Reaction Type: Heterogeneous oxidation, Other aqueous/aerosol phase Relative Humidity: 81 Temperature: 22 Seed Name: Sodium sulfate Pressure: 750 Torr Metadata URL: https://gdex.ucar.edu/dataset/id/3a9879fb-b108-453e-820d-74224682e6c0.html
