Data downloads and Globus transfer will be unavailable starting at 10 AM MDT September 4, 2025, due to upgrades to the RDA file storage system. The outage duration is expected to last 2-4 hours while we set up new Globus guest collections for the RDA dataset archive.

This upgrade is part of upcoming changes on September 9, 2025 to relaunch the RDA as NCAR’s Geoscience Data Exchange – Integrated Research Data Commons (GDEX). More information on this change will be posted soon.

After the upgrade on September 4, RDA data will be available to NSF NCAR HPC users from the following paths on the /glade file system:

• /glade/campaign/collections/gdex/data
• /gdex/data

Note: RDA data will also continue to be available from /glade/campaign/collections/rda/data via a symbolic link, but we encourage users to update their workflow scripts.
